Government to provide quality service for all
Prime Minister has assured the nation that as a head of administration together with other cabinet members, they will hit the ground running to ensure that quality service is delivered to all Namibians irrespective of their identity. He made these remarks during the belated 35th Independence Celebration that place at Okapya Centre in Ondangwa Urban Constituency.....

He echoed the same sentiments with the President that the monthly allowance for elderly will be raised as of next year and therefore they should bear with the government this year. He informed the gathering that the only way to honor those whose blood waters our freedom, is by working together in unity toward a prosperous Namibia. He added that Namibia has vast resources hence every Namibian must benefit from it. “In an independent Namibian every child should have access to free education hence there will be no tuition fees for tertiary education from 2026 and this should be seen as a move to foster inclusive education to every Namibian child” said Dr. Ngurare. The Premier called on leaders at all level to address bread and butter issues such as youth unemployment by empowering them to realize their dreams and become pillars of this country


PM calls government-Churches collaboration
Today, Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare urged churches to continue working with the government to address matters of concern, create awareness on government policies and projects as well as to promote unity and reconciliation within the society. During the congregation he donated N$ 3000.00 toward Sunday School stating that he too was a member of Sunday School during his childhood. Dr. Ngurare advised the children within the congregation to respect elders and to never give up on their dreams as every dream is valid. The Pastor of Oniipa Parish Epafras Hainghumbi urged the Prime Minister as the head of government administration to find modalities to harvest rain water saying it will assist northern farmers during drought season.


General staff Meeting of Office of the Prime Minister
On 14 April 2025, the new Prime Minister, Dr. Elijah Tjitunga Ngurare, met with staff members at the Office of the Prime Minister for a meet and greet session. During the meeting, the Premier described staff members as the most valuable assets recorded in the OPM’s asset register. “Without you, this Office cannot function, and I cannot succeed in my mandates as Prime Minister,” he emphasised.
