Advocating for food and nutrition security in Namibia

The National Food and Nutrition Security Policy aims to address food insecurity and malnutrition by promoting sustainable food systems and improving access to nutritious food. As part of this effort, an Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation Working Group has been established to increase awareness and mobilise action on National Food and Nutrition Security issues.

Nakalega Youth Irrigation Project

The Right Hon. Prime Minister launched the revised National Food Nutrition Security Policy, its Implementation Action Plan and Coordination Structure at Nakalega Youth Irrigation Project on 02 December 2021.

The World Food Programme (WFP) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations handed over a greenhouse, equipped with a drip irrigation system, seedlings and fertilisers to the project.
